Systematic Method for Divine Mathematical Contemplation

structured table image displaying the 99 names of Allah with their Arabic spelling, root letters, abjad values, and meanings. It is designed to help with your analysis of the names, their relationships, and the spiritual insights they may bring.
Phase 1: Foundational Understanding

🔹 Goal: Establish the relationship between letters, names, and meanings.

  1. Gather the Names of Allah (Asma'ul Husna)

    • Ensure each name includes "Al-" (e.g., Al-Haleem, Al-Lateef).
    • List the Arabic spelling with correct diacritics.
    • Identify the root letters of each name.
  2. Assign Abjad Values

    • Convert each letter in the name to its abjad value.
    • Sum the values for each full name and for its root letters separately.
    • Compare names that share similar abjad values.
The Image is meant as a reference for what can be created to make reference of names and abjad easier.  The same can be created for each individual name and the names associated with the name by letters.  ie Allah A:Al-Ahad, Al Awwal, Al-Akhir, Al-Latif and Al-Hadi.  In this way we can trace a pattern that we see coming out of the names and how it leads to sacred geometry perhaps.  Numbers are the proof and the Names of Allah lead to mathematics.  We can even produce artworks based on systematic calculations.
  1. Find Quranic Occurrences

    • Locate where the name appears in the Qur’an.
    • Note if it is paired with another name (e.g., Ar-Rahman & Ar-Raheem).
    • Identify the context and meaning of its usage.

Phase 2: Hierarchy & Letter-Based Analysis

🔹 Goal: Examine the order of the letters and names, seeing if they follow patterns.

  1. Analyze Names by Starting Letter

    • Identify how many names start with each letter (e.g., one name begins with Lam: Al-Lateef).
    • Investigate the significance of that letter in Qur’anic linguistics.
  2. Trace Sequential Letter Patterns

    • Look at names that follow each other alphabetically and by abjad value.
    • Examine if the transition mirrors a spiritual progression.
    • Example: Al-Lateef (Lam) precedes Al-Hadi (Ha)Does "The Subtle" lead to "The Guide"?
  3. Compare Names That Share Letters

    • Look at names that contain the same core letters.
    • Example: Al-Halim (حليم) and Al-Haleem (حليم)—different abjad values but same root.
    • Ask: Why would Allah distinguish them?

Phase 3: Thematic & Numerical Grouping

🔹 Goal: Organize names into meaningful categories based on numerical and spiritual significance.

  1. Group by Abjad Value Ranges

    • Names under 100 → Base spiritual qualities (e.g., Al-Hadi = 20).
    • Names 100-500 → Advanced divine attributes.
    • Names 500+ → Attributes of universal power and majesty.
  2. Match to Islamic Numerology

    • Cross-reference with important numbers in Islam (12 Imams, 14 Masumeen, 99 Names).
    • Example: Which names have abjad values of 12, 14, 40, 313, 786?
    • Investigate if they connect to divine events, figures, or Surahs.
  3. Find Patterns with Prophet & Imams' Names

    • Identify shared root letters between Allah’s names & the names of Ahlul Bayt.
    • Example: Al-Hadi (The Guide) & Imam Ali Al-Hadi (AS).
    • Look for direct relationships between Allah's names and their manifestations in history.

Phase 4: Application & Reflection

🔹 Goal: Apply these discoveries to personal growth, dhikr, and writing.

  1. Use Names in Dhikr Based on Abjad

    • If a name has an abjad value of 88, recite it 88 times in dhikr.
    • Choose names based on what is needed in life (e.g., in times of hardship, focus on Ar-Razzaq).
  2. Write Reflections on Name-Patterns

    • Keep a journal analyzing spiritual insights based on numerical connections.
    • Example: "Why does Al-Lateef (129) come before Al-Hadi (20) in abjad order?"
